The process flow of disc springs

Disc springs are common industrial parts, which can be made from carbon tool steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel, with non-ferrous metal materials being rarely used. Generally, 60Si2MnA or spring steel with similar mechanical properties is used domestically. When bearing higher variable loads, steel can be used.50CrVAFor rust prevention, corrosion resistance, or heat resistance requirements, stainless steel or heat-resistant steel can be used.
The manufacturing process of disc springs generally includes: blanking → punching inner diameter → punching outer diameter → forming → heat treatment.
In fact, the manufacturing methods and technical requirements of disc springs vary with different thicknesses. When the thickness is h6mm, hot-rolled strip steel or steel plates processed by forging and then machined can be used, followed by heating and stamping into shape, with all surfaces machined.(or grinding)The inner and outer diameter edges should be chamfered or rounded, and the supporting surfaces should be ground. All disc springs are not allowed to be directly machined from blanks into conical shapes, but must be stamped into shape. The surface hardness should generally be.HRC42~50to ensure that the spring has good elasticity and fatigue strength.(For disc spring washers, the surface hardness should be.HRC40~48).
The deformation caused during heat treatment will have a significant impact on the characteristics of the disc springs, and measures should be taken (such as using fixtures to apply pressure during quenching, press tempering, etc.) to prevent distortion during heat treatment.).
Disc springs generally have compressive stress concentration at the upper edge of the inner circumference and tensile stress concentration at the lower edge of the inner circumference. These stress concentration factors are quite large, so it is necessary to effectively remove sharp corners and burrs from all edges, usually by chamfering or rounding to reduce the stress concentration factor.
Disc springs bearing dynamic loads are best subjected to surface hardening treatments (such as shot peening).)Disc springs with special requirements should also undergo anti-induction and anti-corrosion treatments.
All disc springs should undergo complete flattening under strong pressure treatment, and the structural height H after strong pressure treatment should be within the size tolerance range.
