Detailed Description
The retaining ring, also known as a snap ring, is divided into hole retaining rings and shaft retaining rings, serving the purpose of axial limitation and preventing other components from axial movement. The forming process mostly uses sheet metal punching, with the functional cross-section being conical. After assembly, it often has a "linear contact". For larger specifications, wire is wound to form the shape, and the excess material is produced through punching, resulting in a regular rectangular cross-section, which after assembly has "surface contact".
