As the usage of disc springs increases, the quality and performance testing of disc springs have become a common concern for related enterprises, buyers, and construction parties.
Due to the different shape and performance of disc springs compared to ordinary springs, the specific testing items are slightly different. The provisions in the national standard GB/T 1972-2005 "Disc Springs" can be referenced. It is worth mentioning that there is also a standard for disc springs, namely JB/T 3812-2015 "Disc Springs for Mine Hoists and Mine Winches" which belongs to industry standards.
The testing items for disc springs are divided into material testing, size testing, mechanical performance testing, surface testing, and other testing items.
Material testing items: chemical composition analysis, elastic modulus testing, plate, slab, and blank quality certificates.
Size measurement: diameter, thickness, free height limit deviation, H0-0.75h0 height load limit deviation.
Mechanical performance testing items: fatigue testing, relaxation testing, creep testing, deformation capacity, hardness, decarburization testing.
Determination of loading characteristics and unloading characteristics of combined disc springs.
Surface testing items: roughness, burrs, cracks, surface anti-corrosion performance, surface strengthening performance.
Other testing items: heat treatment performance, strong pressure treatment performance.
It should be noted that the quality judgment rules for disc springs are evaluated based on defect classification. They are mainly divided into three major defect detection items: A, B, and C. A-type defect detection items mainly include hardness, fatigue, and decarburization indicators. B-type defect detection items mainly include H0-0.75h0 height load, inner diameter, outer diameter, and deformation indicators. C-type defect detection items include thickness, free height, surface quality, and surface roughness indicators.
